From now on for ever: Theological elements in the writing of Alexandros Kosmatopoulos
Ioannis Kourempeles
Coming to the engagement with a work of Alexandros Kosmatopoulos from the past, with the opportunity of its reissue, I believe that the theological craftsmanship in his work can be easily demonstrated, which culminates in the editions of his new works concerning units of Holy Scripture. Alexandros Kosmatopoulos does not “flood into the Gospels” by chance, as the editions of his works in recent years demonstrate. He has swum in theological craftsmanship a long time ago and gradually expressed himself in original ways, carrying the hesychastic vessel of experience with his ascetic readings. He thus makes his readings legible, having traversed the empirical discourse of the ascetic Orthodox tradition, walking it by heart.
