The center of consideration is the issue of humanistic medicine and its principles. An attempt is made here to analyze known bioethical problems, such as clinical death, transplants, euthanasia, in vitro fertilization and prenatal testing. The analysis converges on the proposition that the most appropriate way to resolve bioethical dilemmas is Aristotelian mediation and proportional thinking, which ensure the right balance between the individual benefit of the patient and the collective interest of society.
